Club Description: Teams of students from high schools across the state are matched in a series of ten academic events. These events cover economics, Language and literature, Mathematics, Music, Fine Arts, and social Sciences.

Major Events:
Club Description: These are the familiar faces that greet you everyday. They inform us about upcoming events and fill us in on the news around the "Lake". The announcements are produced by students.

Club Description: Students paired with special education students for various events

Major Events: Performances in choir concerts and arts festival.
Club Description: The Dance Club works on dance techniques/fundamentals and performance methods. Students have a chance to choreograph and learn a variety of routines. All styles of dance are practiced including hip-hop, lyrical, tap and jazz.

Major Events: Annual Plays
Club Description: The Drama Club works on speech, stage presence, and theater production. Their goal is to present plays each year.

Major Events: Freshman Dance
Club Description: Students work on fund-raisers and other school/class spirit building activities throughout the school year. All class members are welcome to attend meetings.

Membership Requirements: Member of Conservation-Horticulture Program
Major Events: Various F.F.A. competitions
Club Description: The group is an extension of the horticulture program. They help with the landscaping around the school, as well as the Plant-of-the-Month Club, Christmas wreath sales, and the annual spring plant sales.

Club Description: Students meet regularly to discuss issues regarding diversity and students' rights. Opportunities to meet with students from other towns and across the state will be available.

Club Description: Members of the Class of 2010 work to plan the Junior Prom and major fund-raisers and school/class spirit activities. All class members are welcomed to attend meetings

Major Events: Key Club Convention
Club Description: Among the most popular and influential clubs, Key Club is a service organization. A branch of the Kiwanis family, it strives to provide service to the school and the community. Some of its service projects include the Holly Tea, collecting presents for the needy, and a penny drive. Money is raised for the Pediatric Trauma Unit and other worthy causes.

Club Description: The Laker Legend provides all the news that is fit to print. It covers extracurricular activities, sports, school-wide issues, and community issues. The staff learns the fundamentals of newspaper production.

Major Events: Saturnalia, Roman Banquet
Club Description: Members of the Latin Club supplement their studies by celebrating the traditions of Roman society.

Major Events: Math Competitions
Club Description: The Math Team competes with other schools in subjects such as geometry, trigonometry and calculus. Through tests and statewide meets, the Math Team has proven itself a capable opponent.

Club Description: The National Honor Society has become increasingly active in the school and community. Members must have at least a 3.7 on our 5.3 scale and must have met leadership, service, and character qualifications. Members donate time to community service projects and are involved in peer tutoring.

Club Description: The Marching Band is widely known for their appearance at football games and community events. They work to learn music and discipline in various performance situations.

Club Description: Club members meet to create a recycling program within the high school. Collection of materials and the participation in creating a GREEN environment at Silver Lake Regional High School as well as educational opportunities are part of the clubs goals.

Club Description: Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) is an organization whose goal is to heighten awareness of the dangerous implications of drinking and driving. The club sponsors pre-prom assemblies and educational displays.

Major Events: Senior Prom, "Spirit of Boston"
Club Description: Class members meet to plan and organize Senior Class activities. They organize fund-raiser and school/class spirit activities. All members of the class are welcome to attend meetings.

Club Description: The Silver Spectrum is a student produced literary magazine. Students collect, create, and edit stories written by students throughout the school.

Major Events: Sophomore Social
Club Description: The members of the class meet to plan the Sophomore Social and various fund-raisers and school/class activities. All members of the class are welcome to attend meetings.

Major Events: National and State Competitions
Club Description: The Speech and Debate Team has proven itself a powerhouse. The members practice and compete in statewide competitions which emphasize the techniques of debate and public speaking.

Major Events: Homecoming, Spirit Week, Blood Mobile
Club Description: The student council is a group of student-elected members who represent the different organizations and classes in the school. They host dances, organize fund-raisers, decide on the activities for Spirit Week, and serve as a forum for student opinions and concerns.

Club Description: Students work together to establish a theme and then put together a book of pictorial memories about the Senior Class.
