The College Tech-Prep Program is designed for Career & Technical students who may wish to continue their technical education beyond high school. College Tech-Prep creates linkages between High Schools with vocational programs and post secondary institutions. College Tech-Prep is an opportunity for Career & Technical students to earn college credit while in High School. College Tech-Prep involves a special process of coordination which enables students to make a smooth transition to college without duplication of curriculum, delays, or loss of credit.
Is College Tech-Prep available at Silver Lake?
Yes! Silver Lake is a member of the Southeastern Massachusetts Tech-Prep Consortium. Tech-Prep options are available for students enrolled in all CTE programs.
Colleges and technical schools that are currently coordinating College Tech-Prep programs with Silver Lake are UMASS - Stockbridge School of Agriculture, Massasoit Community College, MassBay Community College, New England Institute of Technology, Universal Technical Institute College, and Ben Franklin Institute of Technology. New articulation agreements are being developed currently with additional colleges.
Who is the College Tech-Prep student?
All Junior and Senior CTE students qualify for Tech Prep services.
